Funny thing about Kegels and Kegel balls is that as with any other exercise kegels also come with some risk such as overexertion, tearing or pain and discomfort. After all it is a muscle that you are working on, however there are things you can do to prevent these things. Ultimately to decrease this risk you want to ensure that you are using the correct weight, size and technique.
You should check with your doctor or OBGYN before use if you are: pregnant or recovering from birth, have existing pelvic pain or pelvic infection, recovering from a gynecological surgery, have an intrauterine device (iud), or using a menstrual cup. As these things can cause you to feel more pain or discomfort when using kegel balls.
In order to prepare your kegel balls you want to begin by thoroughly washing your hands, as well as the kegel balls (either with a toy cleaner or antibacterial soap and warm water), and apply a generous amount of water-based lubricant before insertion (you can use silicone based if your kegel balls are made of materials such as stainless steel like the Nior brand we carry in store)
Once you have prepared your kegel balls, the real fun is able to start. Make sure you also apply a liberal amount of lubricant to the vaginal opening before you get into position, this is going to prevent discomfort as you guide the kegel balls in. Once lubed accordingly you are going to: Lie down into a comfortable position (legs spread is often best), slowly and steadily insert the first or only ball, if your kegel balls are connected to each other by a string or plastic slip that inside as well, once that part of the string is tucked in, gently start to insert the second ball, push both of the balls into the vaginal canal as far as you are comfortable with, if your balls have a removal string or loop, it should hang outside of the vaginal opening (similar to a tampon), you will then tighten your pelvic floor muscles to hold your kegel ball(s) inside of you and go about your day. The balls should feel secure inside the vaginal canal if you feel like they're about to fall out, or the first ball is visible, gently push them deeper.
Now what you want to do with the Kegel balls once they are in is entirely up to why you are using them. You can use them for pelvic exercises (lay down, insert them and then contract the pelvic floor muscles tightening them and squeezing the balls for 5 seconds and releasing for 5, completing this 5 times is one set and you can do this up to three times a day!) You can also use kegel balls in solo sexual pleasure, while you can take them in and out of the vaginal canal many find that it is more pleasurable to leave them in and squeeze while stimulating the clitorus or opening of the vaginal canal. You can even use them in partner play, inserting them before going out for the night increasing the arousal before you get home, or inserting them and holding them in place as part of foreplay, just don't forget to remove them before insertion with your partner. However if you are familiar with Kegel balls a pro tip can be to leave them in during partner insertion as the penis or dildo will move the balls around inside of the vaginal canal creating higher sensations, just remember to keep the strokes slow and steady to prevent discomfort. If your kegel balls have a removal string or loop you will apply more lubricant before slowly pulling the string to remove them. If your kegel balls are stringless, stand with your feet shoulder lengths apart, squat and squeeze the pelvic floor muscles this will push them out (however if you can't get them to come out don't freak out, you will be able to coax them out with more lubricant or by coughing or even jumping.)
Kegel balls are not meant to be left in for longer than four to six hours as this can cause overexertion of the pelvic floor muscles and cause discomfort.

A great plus side to our 6 phase kegel system is these balls increase in weight! This means the more advanced you get the more weight you can add, you can even do two of them at the same time and not just one to create a higher weight if desired. You will notice how the kegel balls are all different tints and shades of pink, this is because the lightest color will be the lightest weight and the darkest pink will be the heaviest ball.
Our Kegel balls are going to be made entirely of 100% medical grade silicone that encases a steel ball (this is how they are weighted.) This means they are entirely safe for the body, however they should only be used with water-based silicone; however they are also entirely waterproof. The high grade silicone used allows these kegel balls to endure strong pulling on the strings without breakage, and allowing for easier removal. If you are new to kegel exercises, or using them in play begin with the lightest ball (this is also going to be the lightest pink ball) if you are able to hold it in position for 15 minutes while doing daily tasks, such as walking, coughing or sneezing this is when you should move up in weights. Please remember with this kit you are going to get six kegel balls of different weights, weight will increase as the color of the kegel ball darkens. These are the weights of the balls:50g(1.7oz)-65g-80g-95-110g-130g(4.6oz), I added oz to the lightest and heaviest weight so you can better depict the weight. These kegel balls are silicone and textured, this allows for a better hold. More advanced users may upgrade to glass or metal balls as they aren't as easy to hold into place, some may also change the shape of the kegel balls as this can also affect how you're able to hold them into place.
Also note that using and exercising with kegel balls for 15-20 mins a day which is a small fraction of how long you can keep them in will start to have its benefits within the first two weeks!
